Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Only the Avatar was the master of all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless Fire Nation from conquering the world. But when the world needed him most, he disappeared. Until now... On the South Pole, a lone Water Tribe village struggles to survive. It's here that a young Waterbender named Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange boy named Aang from a cavernous iceberg. Not only is Aang an Airbender--a race of people no one has seen in a century--but they soon discover that Aang is also the long lost Avatar. Now it's up to Katara and Sokka to make sure Aang faces his destiny to save the tribe--and himself. Did we mention he's only 12?

Today, I have sad news for our members. On April 3, *RabbitTwins8788 put in her resignation as a Mod. She was a great asset to the club and her contribution to it will be missed.

Please, do not ask to take her place, for as you can see ~parallellogic has already filled the position. . .even if I was ambushed with it as I was told they were making him a Mod and not asked.

March 28, 2008:

Hey everyone, you may know me from ~teentitans or *Cartoon-Obsessions, because I like to help manage large clubs. You may have noticed a rather large update last night, which was intended to bring this club back up to speed (I use programs to automate a few large processes like adding submissions, and new members). As of right now, we should be up to date reguarding picture submissions and new members, so if you've been holding back on submissions to the club because we have not updated in a while, feel free to start sending in submissions again . If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to message or note me at my home account: ~parallellogic, thank you .

January 13, 2008:

Hello everyone As I'm sure you guys have noticed, I've done a bit of updating. We've got:

20 new deviations
4 new affiliates
26 new members (giving us a total of 1424 members!)

Also, episode 313 "The Firebending Masters" aired in Canada a few weeks ago, and can be found on the internet for those who don't wish to wait. No news yet on when 312 will air in the US, but it has to be coming up soon.

And, just as a reminder, our contest is still going on, and ends on Feb. 29! The club is anxious to see submissions, and we encourage everyone to participate. As far as the club's subscription, I'm working on it at the moment! And hope to get it back up in the next week Also, if any of you have suggestions for the "Year in Review", please send me a note (~naturesgirl) I am glad to hear what you have to say.

How to Join/Rules:

You can only join by sending a NOTE to the club! Please do not post comments in the gallery asking to join. They will be ignored. The subject should read Join or Joining. Notes without a subject will be ignored as of 12/7/06.

Include which nation you want to be in - Air, Water, Fire, or Earth. Failing to do so will delay your membership.

Please, DO NOT submit work in a joining note.

If you wish, you can add the club icon to your Journal by typing : iconavatar-fan : Without spaces. It should look like this:

How to Submit Artwork/Fanfiction/AMVs:

To submit artwork and fanfiction, send a note to the club labeled as 'fanart', 'fanfiction', 'AMV', or something along those lines.

Also, along with stating what you are submitting please include what nation you represent in the subject. Example: Fanart - Air.

Please, also be aware that Flash pieces will also go in the AMV journal.

It must be Avatar-related and must be kept around the PG-13 rating since this is a club for everyone.

Please, one submission per note.
Please note: That violators of this rule will not have their submissions upload until after a one month waiting period and will not be allowed to send anymore submissions until that time. -- This rule is strictly enforced by EEG.

State Your Nation in Subject
Please note: Failing to state your nation will have your submission ignored and deleted.

Examples:

Fanfiction - Earth | AMV- Fire | Fanart - Air | Submission#5 - Water

Please include the title of your piece. (Optional)

IT MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK. No copying, tracing, etc.

Please also note, that only one-shots and first chapters of stories will be uploaded to the club gallery.
