Three StoriesPrompt: At the Edge of the Court by Loopy777Three Stories by ~Loopy777
We saw three nations ruled by a kind of monarchy- the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Northern Water Tribe. In one of those, in any time period, I want to see a story or character study about someone on the lower echelons of the Royal Court. Perhaps a servant, or a jester, a bureaucrat, an ignored adviser, a minister of lesser responsibility, concubine #146; feel free to make the position up. You can tell any kind of tale you want- romance, espionage, parody, political thriller, slice-of-life, etc- but I want you to show, not tell, how the court functions and how this person fits into the court. Canon characters and OC's are both welcome.

Breakfast was being served to the princess and her three would-be interrogators in the large sitting room, adjacent to the little general's office. Exotic juices and hot drinks, both sweet and savory, were presented for the tasting along with a vast varieties of foods, tailored to the taste of the young women.
All of the ladies were dressed in new outfits, with hair and makeup done exceptionally well. That is except for Toph. She was donning her military uniform for an upcoming meeting with the Council of Five later that morning.
Even though the others were enjoying the meal, th

That was quickly becoming Mako’s view on parenting. Did he regret having Shen and Aya? Hell no, he’d kill before giving them up. The more appropriate question was if they could be a handful sometimes. At that, Mako could answer with a straight yes. His eyes were shut tight. He was sound asleep and had not one thing on his mind except sleeping in on his day off with Korra curled up next to him. He expected nothing else to happen. But he had been foolish to expect that. Because as soon as his eyes had cracked open, a rush of water condemned them, and they soon began stinging.
“Augh!” he put both hands over his eyes and slightly turned. Yeah, that turned out to be a mistake because he ended up sliding off of the bed, the back of his head slamming harshly onto the floor. He looked up and saw his 5 year old Aya standing over him. She was innocent as she apologized, clearing up that she had meant to hit her brother Shen (ag

It's here that a young Waterbender named Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange boy named Aang from a cavernous iceberg. Legend Of Korra
Republic City is everything that Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko fought for when they ended the Hundred Year War. With balance restored to the four nations, benders and non-benders can live together in peace, in this thriving metropolitan area. But even the steampunk paradise of Republic City has its problems, as the next Avatar discovers. When Avatar Korra arrives in Republic City to master her airbending, she comes face to face with criminal bending gangs as well as members of a vocal anti-bending revolution. Before long, Korra's Avatar skills are put to the test when she encounters a group of Chi-blockers led by the charismatic and mysterious Amon, who threatens the city and all the benders in it. Despite the immense danger, Korra vows to fight the growing anti-bending revolution. But will she be able to stop Amon before he rises to power and makes his vision of a bending-free world a reality?
