As I promised, oh so long ago, the Legend of Korra Folder has been expanded. You may now feel free to show your support towards your favorite couple, whether it be it be Bolin/Korra(Borra), Mako/Korra(Makorra), or Mako/Asami(Shamed to say I don't know. XD Someone please tell me).

May the Shipping Wars officially begin! Go team Borra! *coughs* I mean. . . I'm totally biases.

Yes, yes, I know, we have been horrible with the updates, but I just got some good news the other day from our former mod, `parallellogic(we miss you buddy!), about The Legend of Korra premiere!

I (`parallellogic) will be stepping down as a moderator for this group.

It's been a blast being a moderator for #avatar-fan, and I've seen some absolutely stellar art featured in the group's gallery.  I joined the mods for this group and handled nearly all of the submissions from April 2008 until January 2010.  I wrote a series of programs to automate much of the submission process as well as to handle member requests (our older members may remember being able to choose a nation to be listed under in the member lists), enabling this group to maintain its high level of activity compared to other clubs at the time.  However, with the introduction of the groups platform, the programs were no longer needed.  With mounting school work from my senior year of college and prep for grad school, I found myself with less and less time to devote to the group.  Having not contributed to the group for the past several months, I feel it best to focus the group's attention to the other two awesome mods, *Evilevergreen and ~spirit-of-the-fire who have kept the group running very smoothly.  Going forward, I'll be watching this group as a fellow member and will be tuning in for the Legend of Korra when it airs this coming year.

I want to thank all the participants in your last contest Let It Slide, which was an AMV contest. You all did wonderful jobs! So please give a hand to your new Element Masters! In third place we have ~maxwillflyonwings, in second place we have *Maran-Zelde, and our first place winner is none other than the brilliant ~Velavter with her Kiss Kiss video!

With the new folders coming out, we expected for a few imagines to end up being submitted into the wrong folder from time to time, but after almost a month, it is starting to look clear that a lot of people, aren't paying attention to where their image in being submitted.

I mean, I can understand not know where it may go, like a picture of Momo and Appa being submitted to the Gaang folder instead of the Creatures folder. But when it's a image of Zuko, dressed like he normally is in the show, and it's submitted in the Alternated Universe folder. . . it tells me either one of two things, (1)You don't know what Alternated Universe means, and that's okay, just ask or (2) You submitted it there because it was the first folder and with almost HALF of our submissions going into the AU folder, I'm leaning towards number 2.

I mean, you guys asked for more folders, we gave you more folders, we spent three days, in our gallery of 2400+ pieces and placing them into those folders. And it only takes you a moment, to use the drop down box and select the one you think yours goes in.

So with that, from now on, if your piece is submitted into the wrong folder, it will be rejected, we will no longer move them to the correct folder as we have been doing.

Alright, this should be the last update of the month, honest!

For those who have not noticed, the Group now has 9 new folders for you to submit your work into. They include:


Alternate Universe and Crossovers: Aang's listening to Hip-hop wearing baggy pants and greeting his gang by saying, "Yo!". . . that goes here. lol. Also if Katara is having a conversation with Rose from American Dragon, that goes here too.

Creatures and Spirit World: This is where pieces of the Blue Spirit and The Painted Lady would go NOT pieces of Zuko and Katara dressed like them.

Comics/Doujinshi: Alright bring on the many many scenes of a shirtless Jet!  I'm kidding. . . kind of.
Fanfiction: Tell us a story.

Four Nations: This will be our general folder if you find it doesn't fit anywhere else.

Gaang: Which includes Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, and Suki. If Suki is with other Kyoshi Warriors though, please consider the Four Nations Folder.

Legend of Korra: This may be extended later on as the show develops.

Original Characters: Come on, show us your creations.

Ozai's Angels: Which includes pictures focused on Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee

Oh and there are a few other things I would like ya'll(yes, I am Southern) to know. The Featured folder is no longer available to members. So please pay attention when submitting a piece so it doesn't go into Alternate Universe, just because it happens to be the first folder.

Right now we are in the middle of moving everything out of Featured into their new shiny folders, afterwards `parallellogic will select pieces he thinks best represents our Group into it and change it on a weekly basis.

Convention Updates will be coming soon. It will be handled by =SmyrnaSketcher, so I will leave that to her to discuss once all this new folder business has been taken care of.

Also please remember, only submit your piece ONCE to the gallery even if it does fall under multiple categories.
